When I grow up, I want to be a fisherman in a kelong.


So I can fish everyday. And sometimes catch a seagull.


Somehow it was easy waking up in the morning at the kelong. This was sunrise at 8am. Waking up to catch fishes is a good incentive.


As weird as it sounds, it is actually quite therapeutic getting your hands dirty when cutting up squids, hooking squid eyeballs onto the hooks, and casting the bait into the sea.

But it also meant that my entire lifetime of whitening products had gone to waste. haha my back is severely sun burnt, and I am a shade darker.

I think this fits perfectly into my retirement plan. =)

I am playing Super Mario and Bomber Man again. I must say that my skills have improved over the last 10 years.

At least now I can reach level 3 of Mario before dying. When I was 12, I could never finish level 2. haha ya, at 21 I am still dying at level 3. I will complete this game. Somehow.

Some old school fun. I have never owned one till now though. Best thing ever.

Last night, after dying like a gazillion times, I finally figured out this level in bomber man, and was thisssss close, and my game boy ran out of batt. Awesomeee. haha but its still so fun!

Anyway, I tried making Checkerbox Cookies and they turned out all messy. Blame the weather. haha I think. No not really, I made it messy. Mine look more like a zebra when its bitten in half.

No prizes for guessing which is mine.



My two pairs of new shoes are arriving over the weekend! yay yay yay!

Which means kit is coming back soon. like super soon. It didn't even feel like a month. Thanks to technology.

This is my favorite picture from being out on my own. And I realized I will be really unhappy if I have a job that does not leave me with time to myself.


And having seen so many art pieces yesterday, it seems that the most beautiful piece of art consists of really simple and few colours. Like just black ink on paper. Absolutely breathtaking.

Modern art really just baffles me. There was this whole video of a Vietnamese woman cutting up chunks of meat and fitting them into glass cubes. It just went on like tt for the longest time.
Bizarre is an understatement.

Amidst all this H1N1 Swine Influenza A craze, Kit and I decided to lunch at a Mexican place today. Can't say I like Mexican food, though the salsa and guacamole were really yummy. The only veg in my entree were onions. haha i like onions actually. But this is not a good place to go on your first date. haha there's still this onion-y taste in my mouth.

Perhaps im being ignorant, but I really don't get the importance of this AWARE brouhaha. When I read that they are going to have a Extraodinary General Meeting (EGM) today, i thought, "Omg this is just getting ridiculous." It is ultimately just a catfight that got blown out of proportion. So now after this EGM, they've got a new exco... and like now what? The world is still not a better place. Still don't get it.

On a lighter note, i just watched the video of the kid with IQ of 156, and when some Americans were asked what the capital of Nigeria is, one said Mugabe.... lol.

Well, i just googled, and capital of Nigeria is Abuja.Google is my best friend.

4. WAIT...bake in the hot sun..WAIT..bake..
5. Yay prawns! finally.6. Stare at it/give it a punch/talk to it, then tug out hook from prawn's mouth. Add sound effects of pain, if necessary. (NEVER HOLD IT BY THE FEELERS)

7. Rejoice for a bit.
8. Repeat 1-7 until you get 50 prawns. (when bored, bully the person sitting next to you)
9. Impale.10. BBQ.11. YUM.

Its tt time of the year again, even though its still slightly early, I made Gingerbread Men yesterday. This year I found a new Gingerbread Recipe, so it doesn't taste as bad as those I made last year.
But the only cookie cutters I have are the Ampelmann ones which Kit got me from Deutschland.

They are German traffic light men. One is Stand, another is Walk.
As you can see i ran out of ideas to decorate traffic light men, so i ended up drawing nonsensical shapes on them. Traffic light men don't even wear clothes to begin with.

Anyway, I miss Pho so much. Its just rice noodles soup with beef. But it is so light and yummy.I wish Singapore has more Vietnamese food. Thai food is just spicy and over-rated.

Saigon was rather fun. It was mostly sight-seeing, eating and walking alot. I am quite amazed that we are still alive, considering the crazy no-rules traffic. People drive where ever they want, in different directions. There are no Ampelmann in Vietnam, so jaywalking is probably considered legal.

The rules of crossing the roads there are, don't dash, don't step back, and keep walking.

It was fun. Not everyday you have motorbikes zooming pass you at a distance of 5cm (I am not exaggerating, I always got very worried they will run over my toes) and hearing your cab driver honk 20 times in a minute (I am not exaggerating this either). Noise and air pollution is pretty bad there.

I'll prob go back there again for the Pho, Kebabs, Super thick Vietnamese Coffee and Wagyu. Yum yum yum.

I love ballet.

Kit and I went for the Russian Ballet Gala last night. It was fantastic! You just know perfection when you see it. It was probably the best Da:ns Fest performance I've been to so far. It's the kind that make you want to clap really hard for them, cos that's the least you can do to show your appreciation. As in like if the performance is JUST good, then you will just like clap for civility sake.
If only esplanade allows audience to throw flowers on stage, I would throw 10 for each dancer.

If only I can still fit into my old leotard and ballet shoes, I would wear them for Halloween.

look at the two pictures below. Its an ant track right? Those they build to facilitate their transportation of food and to move around without getting trampled on by bigger animals.

Somebody please agree with me so it can prove that ants are capable of doing such things. And that I didn't just make these things up.
