Super cool Pac Man Google Logo on the goole search site.

AND it is playable! On the logo itself! It is all to celebrate Pac Man's 30th Anniversary. Google's logo always changes to commemorate one festivity or another.

There's even Mrs Pac Man, can play two- player! You just have to click on "Insert Coin" twice. Why is Google so cool.

It is still in the talks but it will be so cool.
And a Lady Gaga episode is already in the making! I wonder how she is going to fit into McKinley High.

It will be a hard time cleaning up if she gets Slushie-ed.

1030hrs..
Hi! I am at work!
It's still the quiet period of Saturday morning, and as I was reading the headlines, I have came to the conclusion that the Swiss has got some weird thought processes going on there.
Headline No. 1:
Swiss ask whether animals need lawyers
Can you imagine court proceedings??
Swiss animal lawyer: So, Cow, did Farmer Staub forbid you from grazing on the 4th of March at 10am?
Cow: Moo.
Swiss animal lawyer: Cow, during winter, did Farmer Staub also keep you outside in the cold?
Cow: Moo.
It is ridiculous. Other than the cow's ambiguous response, who is to judge if the animals were being mistreated. It's like back to the whole question of whether crustaceans feel pain, and whether geese feel uncomfortable being force fed.
Not that I am advocating animal cruelty, I love Codee. Just that there needs to be a proper line drawn. Humans can speak for themselves, animals can't. And if you are lower on the food chain, then you can't complain. You just can't, because you get eaten up ANYWAY. Like if you are the most junior in the company, and you get bullied, and if you don't have a proper HR department, you just have to suck it up.
Headline No. 2:
Swiss government produces extra small condoms for boys as young as 12 yrs old

Heels or flats?
I beyond hate ballerina flats - I can't even walk in them. Unless they're on a ballet dancer doing ballet, I just don't get it.
Sex or sleep?
Sex. I'm getting into bed with David Beckham every night, so, you know, there'd be something wrong if I said "sleep."

Amidst all this H1N1 Swine Influenza A craze, Kit and I decided to lunch at a Mexican place today. Can't say I like Mexican food, though the salsa and guacamole were really yummy. The only veg in my entree were onions. haha i like onions actually. But this is not a good place to go on your first date. haha there's still this onion-y taste in my mouth.
Perhaps im being ignorant, but I really don't get the importance of this AWARE brouhaha. When I read that they are going to have a Extraodinary General Meeting (EGM) today, i thought, "Omg this is just getting ridiculous." It is ultimately just a catfight that got blown out of proportion. So now after this EGM, they've got a new exco... and like now what? The world is still not a better place. Still don't get it.
On a lighter note, i just watched the video of the kid with IQ of 156, and when some Americans were asked what the capital of Nigeria is, one said Mugabe.... lol.
Well, i just googled, and capital of Nigeria is Abuja.Google is my best friend.

Not one of those emo poems. *ahem*

These are from the BBC webpage; practical poems that are actually of some use.
Conversion of temperature:
If centigrade confuses you, as very well it might, nine fifths of c plus 32, will give you Farenheit.
Boiling eggs:
To make your egg go hard inside
Just take heed of the following guide
Make your water hot and frothy
then drop your egg in very softly
Add some salt into your pan
just in case some cracks happen
If you want your egg all hard inside
10 minutes boil should be just fine.
If you like your yolk all soft and runny
3 minutes time is on the money.
Police caution, all tt you reserve the right to remain silent, blah blah blah:
Be quiet?
Omissions may haunt you
Speak?
Admissions may damn you

1645hrs..
So I am now two teeth less.
It was really like a surgery you watch on House. Like before the surgery, they check your BP, then the doctor administers the anesthesia, then some nurse cleans you up and cover your whole body, including your face, save the area they are going to operate on. Then they place the surgical kit on your chest, and another nurse will read out the patient's details (i.e. name, ic number, surgery procedure) before the doctor starts to operate on you.
If you are going to extract your wisdom teeth or for any surgery, opt for General Anesthesia. Rather sleep for 6 hours than go through all that traumatic drilling, sawing and tugging.
And not being able to see what was going on made it even scarier. But the only really painful part of it all was the injection of the anesthesia. I could really feel the needle going through my gums and jaw. Other than that it was ok, just scary.
It was weird after that I can't feel the whole right side of my face, including my head and ear. I tried knocking on my head but there was nothing.
So my diet so far has been porridge and chocolate milk. And since I've finished the milk and my brother finished my soy milk, I shall starve. I am now perpetually hungry. It torturous not being able to eat.
I realized that if there's something I wouldn't be able to take in old age, it would be the loss of teeth. I PROBABLY wouldn't mind the winkles and the loss of energy, but if i can't eat my food (as in proper food that you can chew and taste), I think I would rather die.
I AM SO HUNGRY.
Anyway, I was quite amazed by how my bigger tooth looks. It really looked like the prototype of teeth. Surprisingly, the dentist didn't cut up the bigger tooth (left), but she did for the smaller one (right). Sorry if you think its gory. The blood stains couldn't come off apparently.
On a side note, I think Jude Law acting as a trannie, disturbing.
I guess it is the only way to save his balding hair and downhill career. =(

This week Zimbabwe released the new $100 Trillion note (12 zeros), which is worth only SGD50. I can't even buy my textbook with tt amount of money.
And stupid TIME MAGAZINE put up another picture of Obama on their cover page AGAIN!! It's like the 7th time in less than half a year. I open my magazine wrapper and chances are I'll see Obama. Whats wrong with them, no money to pay photographers to take other pictures? I swear, I will throw up if I see another picture of him.

2 German kids, age 5 and 6, tried to elope to Africa to get married. They even brought along swimming costumes, sunglasses and the girl's elder sister (age 7) as an official witness for the marriage. But no passport or money.
Of course the police brought them back, by offering them a "free tour of the police station".
haha how cute. And how gullible.

PLAY AND MAKE GOOD CHEER, FOR CHRISTMAS COMES BUT ONCE A YEAR.
And I am glad. Its strange how I get so excited before Christmas and when its here, its such a disappointment. like I spent today doing nothing. There's nothing to watch on TV either! stupid Ch 5.
I think I was excited probably because of all the baking and post Christmas sales.
I like the elephant cookie cutters I bought recently. And I like putting lots of bling on them.
I hope you guys didn't find the gingerbread cookies too hard to swallow.
Anyway, wanna see my teeth?? I went to the dentist yesterday to get an x-ray done.
He says one of my wisdom tooth (on the left of this pic) is unusually big, thus giving me those gum problems. So I got to take it out. The x-ray machine was quite funny tho. It had its own female robotic voice that says, " We are starting the x-ray now, please close your eyes.", then after some robotic sounds for 2 minutes, "Ok, we are done scanning, you can open your eyes." Of course in a totally robotic voice. like those Neoprint machines.
Oh oh, I just read that if you act out your dreams while sleeping, like kicking, punching, crying out, it could be an early warning sign of brain disease like dementia or Parkinson's.
The neurologists found out that people with brain disease are able to move their muscles while dreaming, but in normal people, during REM sleep (rapid eye movement, a period of sleep in your sleep cycle), our muscles are suppose totally relaxed and they do not move.
Anyway, its a rather lengthy article with lots of other details, but its interesting, you can read it here if you want to. The bottom line of it is that sleep disorders, like those I've mentioned are warning signs of developing brain degeneration diseases later on in life. =(

I love this song. Its Rachael Yamagata's Elephant. haha because its nice and because I like elephants.
Watching her video makes me realise how much she has aged. Look at her face! All saggy and haggard. She looks like she aged 10 years since I saw her at the Esplanade last year.

That's what smoking does to you.
But I still like her songs.
Anyway, Obama is such a gentleman! Click and watch him get out of the car and close the door for his wife. It's a video of him meeting Bushy for the first time.

9,672,500 children and 536,000 women die every year.
0 utterances As illustrated by eiL . on Wednesday, October 15, 2008All thanks to poverty.
"Deaths are heavily weighted to the poorest and most isolated in each country, which means that many politicians remain largely ignorant of the scale of the tragedy."
Children don't all simply just die of hunger. As if death was ever that easy.
Poor living conditions are inevitable part of poverty. Sanitation and health care are all problems that contribute to the high mortality rate in the poorest countries like
Many parents are forced to sell their older children in order to feed their younger children, some simply feed their stronger children and leave the weaker ones to die. They can't afford to feed all their children, there's just not enough food to go around.

Most disturbing is that women are dying while in child birth. Like they just bleed to death from a tear in the cervix. You would think that with all these advance medical treatment these days, a tear in the cervix can be easily fixed.
But in poor countries, there's either insufficient doctors to go around or that the nurses and doctors do not have sufficient skills and resources to help the patients. OR, the people are so poor and there are so few health care services available that the people living in poverty simply can't afford to see a doctor at all.
So, like women in Afghanistan and Sierra Leone, they just give birth at home with little help. And without any painkillers whatsoever. I can't imagine. Giving birth is painful and traumatic enough, giving birth without any help?! What happens when there are birth complications? It's so long, farewell, adieu say goodbye to you or your baby. In many cases, it's both.
Even if there's a way to get to the hospital, the long journey (usually hours) and terrible road conditions on the way to the hospital will prob kill the woman first. Even if she does survive the journey, dirty water and mediocre-ly skilled nurses will still kill her while in the hospital. It's so morbidly ironic, Death in Birth.
This is not a problem that is uncontrollable. Just that the government of these poor countries typically lack the political willingness (and willingness to part with the $) to see to the improvement of the education of the children and the living conditions of their people.
