Night and Day

2324hrs..
i just got back from the most romantic dinner i have ever had. yet.
this is not the typical romantic dinner.

typical romantic dinner:
step-
1)couple sit in the semi lit restaurant.
2)stare into each other's eyes
3)the guy hands the girl a gift, she opens it and goes "OH MY. EXACTLY what i have always wanted."
4)girl proceeds to lean across the table and plant a kiss on guy.
5)sip a set of matching cocktail
6)get the waitress to take a photo of them holding up their glass.
7)continue staring into each other's eyes.

MY romantic dinner:
1)drive the long route to destination aka via the ever congested CTE
2)drive against flow of traffic while getting to destination
3)worry about car getting clamped or towed away
4)couple sit in the semi lit restaurant
5)laugh at the other diners (aka expats who go HMMMM at every bite they took as if it was ogasmic)
6)guy came up with ideas about ruining the restaurant's business by acting ogreish
7)continue laughing (secretly) at the other diners
8)car didnt get clamped or towed away

Dinner today was at Halia at Botanic Gardens. it has a really nice ambience. with like trees everywhere and cricket sounds. the whole place was so peaceful as compared to the usual restuarants in town where i have to repeat every single sentence i say. haha. my ideal conversation place. love it.
